Westwind Wizard#14 RAM Air Valve InspectionDuring troubleshooting for pressurization problems, look at the RAM air valve for part of the problem. When we ground pressurize the aircraft, we remove the RAM air supply duct from the valve and with the temp control in full cold, see if you get a lot of air from the inlet of the valve with the ACFT pressurized. If so, the seals on the valve butterfly are no longer there – replace the valve and see what a difference it makes. Be prepared, the exchange on the valve isn’t cheap – It’s made by our friends at Honeywell (Airesearch formally).
