#1 Equipment Lists

All Aircraft are required to have a current equipment list on board. Does yours? Are you sure?

Revision 14 to the 1124 airplane flight manual and revision 12 to the 1124A airplane flight manual deleted those pages of the flight manual that contained the "Standard & Non-standard Equipment List" and stated that a "Separate master equipment list is supplied with each aircraft". Many operators followed the revision instructions and removed the pages (1124 PP. VIII-25 through VIII-34; 1124A PP. VIII-26 through VIII-35) from their flight manuals. Unfortunately, there was no separate "Master Equipment List" that meets FAA requirements provided with each airplane. A book entitled "EQUIPMENT LIST" was provided, but it is a listing of items by part number and serial number only and was used for warranty purposes. A true equipment list gives the weight and arm (location) of each item of equipment.

If your airplane does not have a current and FAA acceptable equipment list on board, it is unairworthy!

We recommend that you check your aircraft's documents for a current equipment list.
