Trimec Aviation was
established in 1986 by three mechanics John Dunn, Doug St.Don
and Steve Aikin. Hence the name “TRIMEC”. In the
beginning work was done on anything they could drag in the door. Trimec had a
customer base of five or six flight departments that had Citations and Lears. John, Steve and Doug all had Westwind experience
from prior employment and slowly built a Westwind base from customers upgrading,
slowly adding quality employees over the years which now total twelve. Their
main objective has always customer satisfaction, striving to deliver aircraft
on time and on budget.
Trimec has found their
niche in the industry by specializing in the Westwind aircraft. By staying small
(by choice) they can control costs. You won't find any suits and ties at Trimec
because they would just get dirty. Everyone with the
exception of their office manager and parts manager work on the hanger floor.
Trimec has over 100 years of experience on Westwind aircraft alone.
Trimec has excellent support for Avionics,
Paint, Interior and major Engine work, working closely with Duncan
Avionics, Aircraft Paint Services, Phazar Aerocorp, Turbine Engine Specialist and AccuJet Aviation Maintenance
Training.
