Trimec Aviation makes moves to relieve growing pains Trimec partners with Texas Jet at Fort Worth Meacham to build a new maintenance facility. The project has doubled the size of Trimec’s hangar capacity and tripled the size of office space. Texas Jet has completed the new 30,000 SF facility that it has leased to Trimec Aviation, Inc., a Worthington Aviation 1124/1124A Authorized Service Center and FAA Certified Repair Station for IAI 1124/1124A, Astra/SPX/G100, G200, Honeywell TFE731-3 and TFE731-40. Trimec celebrates 25 years as of March, 2011. John Dunn, Steve Aikin and Doug St.Don started the company on Meacham Field back in 1986. The company currently employs 14 people, 9 of which have been with Trimec for over 10 years. “With our growing Astra/G100 customer base, we have outgrown the facility we’ve been in for 25 years,” said Trimec President, John Dunn, “The new hangar will also provide us with the space to move into Galaxy/G200 maintenance.” Trimec Aviation is one of the few Repair Stations that specialize on one line of aircraft, Israel Aircraft Industries.
